A sign for the city of Elmhurst and Elmhurst City Centre's retail grant program sits in the window of a vacant storefront on First Street. (Doings photo by Curtis Lehmkuhl)

Muslim by a masked gunman on campus, but she later told police she
lied. She is no longer enrolled at the school, Ray said.

He has been inspired, however, by the frequent visits to practices by members of the IC team that won the program's only state championship in 2002.
